As always, Lego hits the mark with its stunning products. This is a true masterpiece. The detail of this is outstanding. I especially love the lighthouse keeper sat in his kitchen having a cuppa.
As you point out, it is aimed at adults and with over 2500 pieces that’s hardly surprising. The time and patience required to build it are repaid many times over in the final product.
Hi Simon,
Thank you for your enthusiastic feedback! I couldn’t agree more—the LEGO Ideas Motorized Lighthouse 21335 is indeed a masterpiece in terms of detail and craftsmanship. The lighthouse keeper enjoying his cuppa really adds a layer of charm to the set, doesn’t it?
You hit the nail on the head regarding the target audience. With over 2500 pieces, this set is clearly geared toward adult fans who appreciate both the building challenge and the exquisite details. And as you rightly mentioned, the effort put into assembling it is more than repaid by the sheer beauty and functionality of the final product.
Thanks again for sharing your thoughts, and happy building!
Lego Lou.
Another wonderful theme from Lego. A suitable project size with over two thousand pieces and decent dimensions, not so small that it can’t be properly admired, but not so huge that you have to disassemble it afterwards due to space requirements! Panels to match the seasons are a lovely idea, so that it always feels current and suits the mood of the season. The entrance and the boat all add some extra charm. I don’t mind there being a few challenging bits, like with the mechanism and so on, it doesn’t do for a Lego set to be too easy. You don’t want it to be all over too quickly!
Hi Michelle,
I’m delighted to hear you enjoyed the review of the LEGO Ideas Motorized Lighthouse 21335. Your observations about the set’s size and dimensions are spot-on; it truly is designed to hit that ‘Goldilocks zone’—not too big, not too small, but just right for admiration and display.
I’m thrilled you appreciate the seasonal panels as much as I do. They indeed add a layer of versatility to the set, making it a year-round showpiece that can adapt to the seasons. It’s a unique feature that sets it apart.
And I couldn’t agree more about the challenge aspect. A LEGO set should indeed push the boundaries a bit, giving us those “Ah-ha!” moments during the build process. It’s what makes the experience so rewarding and keeps us coming back for more.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment. It’s always enlightening to hear what fellow LEGO enthusiasts think.
